Fly-in Safari

Next to a self-drive holiday in Namibia by 4x4, it is also possible to have (a part of) your trip organized as a ‘Fly-in Safari’ by Explore Namibia Exclusive.
If you are keen to see a lot of different areas, but you only have limited time, then a complete or partial fly-in safari might be the solution for you.

Complete ‘fly in’ Safari
When you choose for a complete ‘fly in’ safari, then you will travel your whole trip by a small chartered plane (such as a Cessna) including a private licensed pilot. You will fly form one area to another and enjoy a beautiful view on the different landscapes and see herds of animals from the air. You will fly over waterfalls, river and lakes and see the different colour schemes of the African bush.
You will visit undiscovered places that can hardly be reached by car.

At arrival on the private airstrip, you will be picked up and brought to the luxury lodges. These accommodations are the basis for exploring the local area by making use of experienced guides and their game drive vehicles or boats. At arrival at the lodge you have plenty of time to relax at the pool and enjoy a delicious diner before you will fall asleep under the clear African skies.

Adding a few days of ‘fly in’ Safari to your self-drive trip
Many of our clients choose to add a ‘fly-in’ safari of only a few days into their self-drive trip. Usually is chosen for a ‘fly-in safari’ into an area that is difficult to explore by car, such as the Okavango Delta in Botswana. These short ‘fly-in safaris’ can be organized from Maun or Kasane (Botswana).
Alternative fly-ins are discovering the Namibian Skeleton Coast or flying to the heart of Kaokoland.
The option of adding only a few days ‘fly-in safari’ is of course cheaper than a complete ‘fly-in safari’.
